On October 12, hundreds of water protectors gathered in front of the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) headquarters in Washington DC to deliver 2,000,000 petitions from 14 different organizations, signed by people across the country demanding the ACOE stop Enbridge Line 3 across northern Minnesota and conduct an environmental impact statement.

Ron Turney, from the White Earth Nation, has been documenting Enbridge’s environmental violations and along with Jaime Pinkham, Acting Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works, has witnessed numerous infractions first hand.

On Oct. 12, 2021, Ron Turney of the White Earth Nation speaks at People vs. Fossil Fuels Indigenous People's Day regarding Enbridge's damage to the Minnesota watershed due to the construction of Line 3 through 1855 Treaty Territory. (Video by Honor the Earth)

Enbridge claims to be pumping oil through the lines, but Turney reports the MNDNR deny any oil is flowing.
