Calumet artists to exhibit work at Flatlanders Gallery in Blissfield, Mich., March 15

CALUMET -- Artists Margo McCafferty and Tom Rudd of Calumet will be in Blissfield, Mich. (near Toledo, Ohio) this Saturday, March 15, to install and open a show at Flatlanders Gallery (and sculpture supply).

Flatlanders is east of Blissfield on US 223. The building  is surrounded by many sculptures, heaps of snow-covered stone and a sign that says "Last chance for Art in Michigan."

A reception will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday March 15, at Flatlanders.

"We will be there along with our art and stories of the north," says Rudd. "We are excited to see old friends and new. Please join us -- there will be goodies and a plastic cuppa."

Gallerie Bohème to host opening reception for new exhibit Jan. 4

CALUMET -- Gallerie Bohème in Calumet will host an opening reception for their January exhibit of works by professional artists Georgi Tsenov, Stuart Baird, Margo McCafferty and Tom Rudd from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. TOMORROW, First Friday, Jan. 4.

"We will have a loaf of bread, homemade wine, cheese, (maybe some leftover Christmas cookies), some non-alcoholic punch and lots of good company," says artist Tom Rudd.

Gallerie Bohème is at the north end of Fifth Street, near the Omphale Gallery and Café, in Calumet.

Gallerie Bohème in Calumet is open May 26, 28

The Gallerie Bohème in Calumet is open this weekend from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 26, and on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28. The exhibit, "Paddles and Prints," work by Tom Rudd and Margo McCafferty, opened May 4.

The Gallerie Bohème will present a showing of "New Work by Joyce Koskenmaki" in June. The opening reception will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on First Friday, June 1.
