HANCOCK -- There are FLOWERS in the Kerredge Gallery in October. The new exhibition of photographs by St Paul artist Dan Beers will include his new work in what he calls "run on" images. While Beers does occasionally use digital format, these photographs were produced in the camera on film and printed in the darkroom.
Beers, whose work typically centers around both abstract and representational landscapes, recently won an honorable mention at the Minnesota State Fair for his fine art photography. Dan Beers also worked at Cardazo Fine Art for five years as a master printer for a collection of Edward S. Curtis plates in silver, platinum/palladium and goldtone.
The exhibition will open on Thursday, Oct. 4, with a reception and gallery talk from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will be on display through Oct. 28.
The Community Arts Center is located at 126 Quincy Street in Hancock. For more information call (906) 482-2333.
