HOUGHTON -- The Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra will conclude its five-city tour with a concert titled "Suites!" at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 25, at the Rozsa Center.

According to KSO Conductor Joel Neves, "The Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra concludes its 44th season with a performance comprised entirely of concert suites: Short multi-movement orchestral works that tell a story. 'The Golden Cockerel' is based on a Russian fairy tale; 'L'Arlésienne' is the incidental music to Daudet's The Girl from Arles; 'Water Music' is music written for King George I."

The KSO has been performing this repertoire in April during its inaugural five-city concert tour to Crystal Falls, Algoma, Oshkosh, Chicago and now finally Houghton.

Also available the night of the performance is a "VPA Livestream" of the music, at http://vpa-live.mtu.edu, for those who are not able to be present for the event. (Please note, this link will not be active until the time of the event.)
