HOUGHTON -- Ever tried Iranian hotdogs? Friday, July 11, is your chance to taste this Iranian fast-food favorite, as Amir Zandnia and Aref Majdara, Michigan Tech graduate students in electrical engineering, cook hotdogs with onions, pickles, parsley and tomatoes at Khana Khazana.
Lunch will be served with homemade lemonade from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., from the Michigan Tech Dining Services food truck on campus -- outside the Van Pelt and Opie Library. A meal costs $6, cash only.

Khana Khazana to serve Nepalese, Syrian and Korean cuisine Friday, March 7
HOUGHTON -- Khana Khazana will feature Nepalese, Syrian and Korean food this Friday, March 7. Aadarsh Upreti will cook Nepalese Chicken Momo, a fried dumpling filled with spiced chicken and onion stuffing served with pickled veggies; Roba Bdeir will present Basbouseh, a sweet Mediterranean cake made of cooked semolina, coconut and yogurt that is soaked in sugar syrup and topped off with almonds. Korean kimchi soup, a spicy and sour Korean traditional soup made of vegetables with variety of seasonings, will also be served.
The weekly international lunch is served in Michigan Tech's Memorial Union Food Court from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A full meal costs $6.95, with individual dishes available for $2.50 each.

Khana Khazana to serve dishes from 5 countries Apr. 26
HOUGHTON -- Michigan Tech's international students will cook favorite dishes from Cameroon, China, India, Korea and Thailand for Khana Khazana this Friday, April 26. It is the last Khana Khazana of the semester.
The international lunch will feature Cameroonian barbecued chicken, Chinese steamed egg, Indian aloo poha, Korean rice cake and Thai coconut ice cream served with sticky rice, jackfruit and red beans.
Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Memorial Union Food Court. A full meal costs $6.95 and includes a free beverage. Individual items are available for $2 each. Vegetarian alternatives will be provided.

Khana Khazana to feature Indian cuisine March 8
HOUGHTON -- Khana Khazana, a weekly ethnic lunch cooked and served by international students at Michigan Tech, features Indian food this Friday, March 8. Chanderika Abhang and Rohit Bhute will cook mughlai chicken with a mild, creamy sauce; kanda pithla, a vegetarian dish flavored with a blend of Indian spices; and vegetable raita, an assortment of vegetables on a bed of beaten curd flavored with chili and cumin.

Celebrate Chinese New Year at Khana Khazana with Thai cuisine Feb. 15
HOUGHTON -- Khana Khazana will serve a Chinese New Year celebration lunch featuring Thai dishes on Friday, Feb. 15. Yuenyong "Ake" Nilsiam and Siranee "Ochin" Nuchitprasitchai, both computer engineering students, will cook chicken green curry; tod-mon-mhoo, a deep-fried ground pork cake served with fresh vegetables and a special dipping sauce; and pad-ka-prao goong, fried shrimp with basil and Thai pepper. A vegetarian alternative will be available.

Khana Khazana to serve food from five countries Dec. 14
HOUGHTON -- Chinese, Indian, Korean, Swedish and Thai dishes make up a truly international menu for the last Khana Khazana of the semester at Michigan Tech. International students from all five countries will be cooking the special lunch, served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14, in the Michigan Tech Memorial Union Food Court.
Dishes include a Chinese soup made of boiled Tilapia with pickled cabbage and chili; biryani, an Indian dish made with vegetable and rice; Korean dak ggo chi, a grilled skewer of chicken; yum ma-ma ruam-mid, a Thai spicy noodle salad with vegetables, shrimp, chicken and sweet-sour sauce; and homemade fruit ice cream with fruit, strawberry jam and whipped cream, a Swedish specialty.
A full meal costs $6.95 and includes a fountain drink. Individual items are available for $2.50 each.
